Mr. Jinnah,s great struggle spans over forty years. He started as Jinnah and finally developed into the Quaid.
Mr. Jinnah countered the political tricks of Hindus, especially Mr. Gandhi. The Congress tried its best to keep India unite and the Muslims under their rule. Jinnah knew that Gandhi did not have any sympathy with the Khilafat but he had his own axe to grind. Therefor, Jinnah remained aloof from it and the time proved his decision right. He scored a tactical victory over Mr. Gandhi during Gandhi-Jinnah Talks when he established himself as the sole leader of the Muslim community.
The survival of Pakistan was a great challenge than its existence. There was a big question mark on the survival of the country. The Quaid always encouraged the people. He said that Pakistan had to come into existence to remain forever.
During all this hard work and struggle, the Quaid came to know that he was suffering from TUBERCULOSIS (TB). He knew that if his nation would come to know about his illness they would not be strengthened the same as they were. Therefore, he hide his illness from the whole world and even he did not took care about his health. His iron will was contained in a feeble and diseased body. He did not care for his illness and died after a prolonged illness. On 11 September,1948, he breathed his last.
